How a session unfolds
Your first appointment, including the initial conversation, takes around 70 minutes; each further session takes around 50 minutes. There is no pressure and no adjusting – you feel only a fine touch. You lie or sit comfortably – I work with gentle touch alone.
The initial conversation
At the start we take our time to talk through what brings you here. I also explain how I work, so that you know what to expect.
The difference in leg length
Once the muscles of the back have been gently loosened, a difference in leg length often becomes visible – a point of reference for my work, not a medical finding.
The gentle impulse
A fine, energetic touch at the atlas gives the body an impulse to realign itself. No adjusting, no pressure, no device.
The resting period
A few minutes lying quietly before you get up.
“No one knows how far their powers reach until they have tried them.”J. W. von Goethe (translated)
What is worth knowing
Wear comfortable clothes. Allow a little more time for your first appointment – with the initial conversation, around 70 minutes. Afterwards it does you good to give the body some quiet and to drink plenty of water; otherwise you can carry on with your day as usual.
Atlas work is complementary and energetic. It does not replace medical diagnosis or treatment and makes no promise of healing.
About your session
How does a session unfold, and how long does it take?
A session takes around 50 minutes: a conversation to begin with, the gentle work itself, lying down or sitting, and a resting period. Your first appointment, with a full initial conversation, takes around 70 minutes.
Is the session painful?
No. The touch is fine and barely perceptible – no pressure, no adjusting. Many clients find it pleasant and relaxing.
How many sessions make sense?
As a rule, we recommend four sessions a week apart to begin with. How things continue after that, we decide together – in the way that suits you.
