About atlas work
What is atlas work at Atlaspraxis Seeham?
A gentle, energetic session centred on the atlas, the first cervical vertebra. Through fine touch the atlas is approached carefully – with no adjusting, no pressure and no devices.
Is anything adjusted or manipulated (chiropractic)?
No. Nothing is manipulated and nothing is adjusted – there is no sudden thrust. Nor are devices or mechanical impulses used, as some other methods do. Atlaspraxis Seeham works with gentle touch alone.
Is the session painful?
No. The touch is fine and barely perceptible – no pressure, no adjusting. Many clients find it pleasant and relaxing.
Does a session replace a visit to the doctor?
No. Atlas work is a complementary, energetic session within the field of human energetics. It does not replace medical diagnosis or treatment and makes no promise of healing. Please always have health complaints assessed by a doctor.
What is human energetics?
In Austria, human energetics is a trade in its own right – a free trade: helping people towards physical and energetic balance. Human energetics makes no diagnoses and treats no illnesses; the work is understood as accompaniment for your well-being.
About your session
How does a session unfold, and how long does it take?
A session takes around 50 minutes: a conversation to begin with, the gentle work itself, lying down or sitting, and a resting period. Your first appointment, with a full initial conversation, takes around 70 minutes.
How many sessions make sense?
As a rule, we recommend four sessions a week apart to begin with. How things continue after that, we decide together – in the way that suits you.
What should I wear, and what should I bring?
Comfortable clothes are all you need, and there is nothing else to bring. It is good if you can give yourself time and quiet for the appointment.
What is best to do after a session?
If you can, give your body a quiet rest of the day and drink plenty of water. Your usual routine – driving and working included – can carry on as normal.
Is atlas work suitable for children or older people?
The work is so gentle that people of any age come – from children to grandparents. Children up to the age of 10 have their session free of charge when they come along with a client. If you have health concerns, please check with a doctor beforehand what is right for you or your child.
